Mr. Grubb also referred to <br />a rendering of the proposed project. <br />After discussion, moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman <br />Rios, to approve RESOLUTION NO. 4427, and also require the developer <br />to enter into a Developer Participation Agreement whereby the devel- <br />oper would be obligated to repay any expenses that might be incurred <br />by the City. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4427 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON INDICATING ITS INTENT TO PROVIDE FOR THE <br />ISSUANCE OF OBLIGATIONS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE IN <br />FINANCING A MULTIFAMILY RENTAL HOUSING PROJECT. <br />Pacific Telephone/Larson Drugs <br />Res. No. 4428 <br />Mrs. Sandra Searle, representing Larson and Hub City Drug, stated they <br />are willing to be the Collection Agency for payment of Pacific Tele- <br />phone bills for Colton residents, rather than at the Buenavision Cable <br />TV business office. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to ap- <br />prove RESOLUTION NO. 4428. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4428 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THAT PAYMENT OF <br />TELEPHONE BILLS AT LARSON AND HUB CITY DRUG DOES <br />NOT BREACH ORDINANCE NO. 1578. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Salaries/Classifications <br />Res. No. 4421 <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Resolution No. 4421 for Council's <br />consideration and approval, which approves the salary increases to <br />all classifications and positions of employees of the City of Colton <br />in accordance with the Memorandums of Understanding. Mr. Edwards <br />explained another paragraph will be added to include compensation <br />for the City Clerk. Mr. Edwards then read the additional paragraph <br />in full. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer to approve RESOLUTION NO. 4421. Motion <br />died for lack of a second. <br />Councilwoman Cisneros stated she would like to have more time to <br />study this matter. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by <br />Councilman Rios, to table this matter until the next regular Council <br />Meeting. Unanimous vote. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 8:45 p. m., to dis- <br />cuss matters of Litigation, and reconvened at 9:08 p. m., all Members <br />present. <br />Assessment District No. 79-1 <br />Claims <br />Mr. Francis Baum, of Best, Best and Krieger, made a presentation to <br />the City Council with regard to Claims submitted against the City of <br />Colton in connection with Assessment District No. 79-1. Mr. Baum <br />said after reviewing all of the documentation submitted, they were <br />unable to discover any substantial legal justification for payment of <br />a majority of the Claims which have been filed with the City, and <br />therefore recommend formal rejection of the following: $77,256.61 - <br />Chuck King & Associates, Claims of 11/25/83 and 1/8/84; $160,650.00 - <br />Matt Kurilich, Claims of 1/16/84 and 2/1/84; $31,142.44 - Paul Y. H. <br />Hsu, Claim of 1/13/84. Mr. Baum stated they further recommend that <br />Staff be authorized to complete disbursement of funds and make addi- <br />Fk8 2 1 wt <br />
