Mr. Aguilera outlined the recommended projects as follows: <br />Urban Beautification Capital Improvements <br />for South La Cadena Drive Corridor - $ 669833. <br />Water System Improvements to implement design <br />and Engineering Study completed for Northeast <br />Colton - 502000. <br />Graffiti Eradication Program - 2510000. <br />Senior Outreach Program - 10,000. <br />Youth Intervention Program - 1031000. <br />Contingency Fund (10% of Total Allocation must <br />be withheld for Contingencies) - 179982. <br />Total Allocation $17910815. <br />Mr. Aguilera concluded if Council concurs, Staff recommends adoption of <br />the Priority List of projects and Community Development Block Grant <br />allocations. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to <br />close the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to ap- <br />prove Staff's recommendation for Priority List of 1988-89 C.D.B.G. <br />Projects. Unanimous vote. <br />Weed Abatement <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that <br />no protests or objections had been received. <br />Public Works Director John Hutton reported on the 1988 Weed Abatement <br />Program and Hearing to hear any protests or objections to the abatement <br />of the affected properties. Mr. Hutton stated the proper notices were <br />mailed to the property owners as required by law, and if there are no <br />sufficient protests or objections heard at the conclusion of the Public <br />Hearing, Staff would recommend approval of Resolution No. R-25-88. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to close the <br />-- Public Hearing.
