Ms. Barbara Whales, 901 Fairway Drive, Colton, spoke in favor of the proposed project, stating the City of Colton needs senior citizen housing very badly. Discussion then followed among Council Members, Staff and Mr. Zane re- garding the proposed project, the number of units proposed, the services to be provided, the need for senior citizen housing, etc. Councilwoman Garcia stated that as long as there would be no danger to the health and safety of the occupants, she would be in favor of the project as requested, because the City does need senior citizen housing. Community Development Director Aguilera stated if the Council is con- sidering approval of the project as presented by Mr. Zane, then the traffic fee would have to be recalculated. Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to close the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. City Attorney Edwards then read in full a revision to Resolution No. R-47-88, approving the Appeal filed by Joe Lacko, adjusting the traffic fee. Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve Resolution No. R-47-88, as revised, granting Appeal filed by Joe Lacko on File Index No. C-10-87. Upon Roll Call, the Vote was Unanimous. RESOLUTION NO. R-47-88 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON GRANTING THE APPEAL FILED BY JOE LACKO ON FILE NO. C-10-87. Special Assessments Res. Nos. R-48-88 & R-49-88 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or objections had been received. Public Works Director John Hutton reported on the Fiscal Year 1988-89 Engineer's Report for the Landscape Maintenance District No. 1, advis- ing that at the end of the hearing, if there are no protests concerning the Report or levying of assessments, Staff would recommend adoption of Resolution Nos. R-48-88 and R-49-88. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Resolution Nos. R-48-88 and R-49-88.
