RESOLUTION NO. R-23-88 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR 1987-88. <br />pnrb Vnn� <br />Ord. No. 0-10-88 <br />Assistant City Manager Leslie Keane reported on amending the City's <br />Fees for Park and Recreation purposes to comply with recent changes <br />in state law, Government Code Section 66477, which allows for land or <br />fees as a condition to the approval of a tentative tract or parcel map. <br />Ms. Keane stated the specific amount of land or fees which can be re- <br />quired is based on the City's General Plan and its current ratio of <br />recreational land to population. The City's current General Plan iden- <br />tifies a need for 232.1 acres of additional park land by the year 2005. <br />Ms. Keane referred to a proposed ordinance which redefines provisions <br />of the City's current ordinance so that it is in conformance with <br />current law and allows the Planning Commission and City Council more <br />discretion as to the acceptance of land or improvements in lieu of the <br />collection of fees. <br />Ms. Keane concluded Staff and the Planning Commission are recommending <br />that the City Council consider First Reading of Ordinance No. 0-10-88. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to waive full <br />reading of Ordinance No. 0-10-88. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to pass First <br />Reading of Ordinance No. 0-10-88.
