RESOLUTION NO. R-23-88 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1987-88. pnrb Vnn� Ord. No. 0-10-88 Assistant City Manager Leslie Keane reported on amending the City's Fees for Park and Recreation purposes to comply with recent changes in state law, Government Code Section 66477, which allows for land or fees as a condition to the approval of a tentative tract or parcel map. Ms. Keane stated the specific amount of land or fees which can be re- quired is based on the City's General Plan and its current ratio of recreational land to population. The City's current General Plan iden- tifies a need for 232.1 acres of additional park land by the year 2005. Ms. Keane referred to a proposed ordinance which redefines provisions of the City's current ordinance so that it is in conformance with current law and allows the Planning Commission and City Council more discretion as to the acceptance of land or improvements in lieu of the collection of fees. Ms. Keane concluded Staff and the Planning Commission are recommending that the City Council consider First Reading of Ordinance No. 0-10-88. Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to waive full reading of Ordinance No. 0-10-88. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to pass First Reading of Ordinance No. 0-10-88. Unanimous vote. ORDINANCE NO. 0-10-88 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF (First Reading) COLTON, CALIFORNIA, ADDING CHAPTER 16.58 TO TITLE 16 (DIVISION OF LAND) OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE THE DEDICATION OF LAND OR PAY- MENT OF IN LIEU FEES FOR PARK AND RECREATIONAL PURPOSES PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 66477.
