TTRMq Bids City Manager Benest stated that Staff is pleased to present plans for the new Fire Station, No. 4. Mr. Benest advised that RDA funds, in the amount of $5252000, will be used for the new station. Fire Chief Gemmell reported Staff has reviewed the architect's plans sub- mitted by Anthony & Langford, AIA, for Station No. 4 and, after several planning meetings and revisions, Staff feels the plans will meet the needs of the City of Colton. Chief Gemmell stated Staff is requesting approval of the plans and author- ization to go to bid. Chief Gemmell concluded the architect, Tony Anthony, is present and would like to make a brief presentation. Mr. Tony Anthony, of Anthony & Langford, AIA, referred to a rendering of the new Fire Station which he said was designed to integrate with the neighborhood. Mr. Anthony gave a general description of the new building and the materials used. Mr. Anthony concluded he felt confident that the City would be very happy with the new station. After discussion, moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Plans as submitted by Anthony & Langford for Fire Station No. 4, and authorize Staff to go out to Bid.
