Operation of an additional police patrol car, partially dedi- <br />cated to this area <br />Ms. Keane also stated if Council votes to proceed with the formation of Com- <br />munity Facilities District 88-1, the special election, with respect to the <br />levy of special taxes, bonded indebtedness in the amount of $4 million, and <br />the establishment of an appropriations limit for the district in the amount of <br />$600,000, is proposed to be held later at this council meeting. <br />Ms. Keane recommended that the City Council adopt four Resolutions, Nos. R- <br />80-88, R-81-88, R-82-88 and R-83-88. <br />Mayor Gonzales requested that each person who speaks give his name and address <br />and state whether he is a property owner or a registered voter. <br />Mr. Paul Soto, Jr., 1011 Stevenson and Mr. Art Trimble, 1004 Stevenson spoke <br />in oposition. The protest referred to a previous project involving storm <br />drains and paving of the street in the Stevenson area. They felt that the job <br />was not completed properly. They were concerned that the same would occur <br />again. <br />Ms. Keane responded to the above as follows: The storm drain that they were <br />referring to was on a project that a private developer had completed. Ms. <br />Keane also informed the council that no protests had been received from any of <br />the property owners in the area that will be involved. Engineering studies <br />Vire indicated that Stevenson Street will be able to handle any water run off <br />caused by this storm drain. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to close the Public <br />Hearing.
