MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring April 27 - May 4, <br />1991, Cinco De Mayo Week. The Proclamation was received by Ramon <br />and Annamarie Hernandez. <br />Council Member Roman read in full a Proclamation declaring April 27, <br />1991, Government Day. The Proclamation was received by Rebecca Gil, <br />Administrative Assistant for Assemblyman Eaves. <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of <br />May 5-11, 1991, Victims of Pornography Week. The Proclamation was <br />received by Bobbie Huddleston. Ms. Huddleston urged everyone to wear <br />a black ribbon during the week of May 5-11, 1991 and gave posters <br />and brochures to the Council for placement in the different offices. <br />Council Member Lofy read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of <br />April 27 - May 5, 1991, National RV Week and National Open House for <br />the Recreation Vehicle Industry. The Proclamation was received by <br />Frank Bryant who invited everyone to visit American RV Expo. <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of April <br />28 - May 5, 1991, Soil and Water Stewardship Week. To be mailed to <br />Riverside/Corona Resource Conservation District. <br />Council Member Roman read in full a Proclamation declaring April 21- <br />27, 1991, Victims' Rights Week. To be mailed to Jo Ann Nunez, <br />Victim/Witness Assistance Program. <br />Resolution <br />Mayor Gonzales presented a resolution of the City Council in support <br />of Assembly Bill 1423 and Senate Bill 235, RESOLUTION NO. R-29-91. <br />Moved by Council Member Cisneros, seconded by Council Member Lofy, <br />to approve RESOLUTION NO. R-29-91. Unanimous vote. <br />Certificates <br />Certificates of Commendation were presented to Kim Roman and Laurie <br />Holland for being selected a "Most Original" winner in the Poster <br />Contest sponsored by the County of San Bernardino, Office of Alcohol <br />and Drugs, during Alcohol Awareness Week. Kim Roman accepted the <br />Certificate from her father Council Member Roman. Laurie Holland <br />received the Certificate from Mayor Gonzales. <br />Proclamations <br />Mr. Ramon Hernandez addressed the Council and expressed he was honored <br />to be chosen to represent the Latino Community when asked to accept <br />the Cinco De Mayo Week Proclamation. Mr. Hernandez also recognized <br />the current and especially the past civic leaders who contributed to <br />3 <br />AP R 16 199-f <br />
