restaurant owners/tenants to help meet the requirements of this Ordi- <br />nance. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Rent Stabilization <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that <br />no protests or objections had been received. <br />Director of Community Development Aguilera reported on the extension of <br />Ordinance No. 0-7-91, for a 60 -day period. Mr. Aguilera stated should <br />there be a real threat that a petition for a rent increase be filed <br />within the 45 -day Ordinance approval process, and if the Council wishes <br />to preclude that from occuring, extending the Urgency Moratorium should <br />be considered. <br />Mr. Aguilera concluded Staff feels there exists a threat of filing for <br />rent increases during the next 60 days; therefore, it is recommended <br />the Urgency Ordinance, No. 0-7-91, be extended for an additional 60 <br />days. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Mr. Rocky Fredrickson, Lake Cadena Mobile Home Park, spoke in favor of <br />extending the Moratorium, for protection of the tenants. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Lofy, to close <br />the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Lofy, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to extend <br />Urgency Moratorium, Ordinance No. 0-7-91, for a 60 -day period. Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-7-91 <br />- AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON ES- <br />TABLISHING A 60 -DAY MORATORIUM ON FILING AND <br />PROCESSING OF PETITIONS FOR MOBILE HOME RENT <br />INCREASES PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 0-19A-89. <br />Landscape Maintenance District <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Continuance of the Public Hearing. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting Continuance and re- <br />ported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Public Works Director Hutton reported each year the Council must adopt <br />the Engineer's Report in order to assess fees to property owners for <br />landscape maintenance. NBS/Lowry has prepared the FY 1991-92 Engineer's <br />Report, on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
