Motion did not carry. <br />Council Member Lofy requested that Director Gayton meet with Mr. <br />Reichel and Commissioner Bennett to look at whether this would <br />be a "Turn Key" park. <br />Director Gayton stated that both Commissions had voted in favor of this <br />park. This reflected the wishes of the community. That Council <br />consider not entering into litigation, the cost of the legal fees could <br />be used on the parks. That he and City Manager Sotelo be allowed to <br />do their job to see this project through. <br />Mr. Reichel asked what does the Council seek from further meetings. <br />Council Member Lofy said he is not saying he is going to change his <br />mind, he will request what he wants to see through the City Manager. <br />Signs/Adams Sign Co. <br />Community Development Director Aguilera reported the City had <br />negotiated a settlement with the Adams Sign Company, which required <br />the company to pay all attorney fees and build a billboard which the <br />Ctiy could use at its discretion. Mr. Adams has paid all fees and he <br />is prepared tonight to share with the Council his concept of the copy <br />that is to be placed on the billboard. <br />Director Aguilera stated the Planning Commission recommended approval <br />of the billboard copy with the condition that the logo be changed to <br />the "HUB City" logo. An alternative display with a green background <br />was also presented; however, the Commission preferred the original <br />design as selected. <br />Director Aguilera stated the billboard will be located along the <br />I-215 corridor south of the Washington Street off -ramp, it will <br />contain a back-to-back logo, the sign is put up in panels and can be <br />stored, allowing the City to lease the sign and produce revenue. <br />RV Expo has expressed interest in leasing space. <br />Moved by Council Member Roman, seconded by Council Member Lofy, to <br />approve the design presented with the lettering in yellow.
