Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Commendations <br />Police Chief Stratton spoke about the Police Explorer Post 245, who <br />is setting an example for other Police Explorer Posts to follow. <br />Chief Stratton advised of the many awards and special recognition our <br />Post 245 has received. On August 14, 1991, the Colton Police De- <br />partment was notified that Post 245 will be the recipient of the <br />National Law Enforcement Explorer Community Crime Prevention Award, <br />which will be presented during the International Conference of Crime <br />Prevention Practitioners to be held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in <br />October, 1991. Chief Stratton also spoke about the special recogni- <br />tion that 8 members of Post 245 received from the Orange County Police <br />Explorer Academy.
