Motion passed. <br />unanimous vote. <br />Disaster Preparedness <br />City Manager Young .introduced the Disaster Preparedness budget saying <br />this budget has formerly been under the Fire Department; however, with <br />the retirement of Fire Captain Bruce Hamp, a new person has been <br />training to take over these duties working out of the City Manager's <br />Office. This budget provides for necessary radia equipment and the <br />training of 10 people by the California State Training Institute. <br />Moved by Councilmember Rios, seconded by Councilmember Bennett, to <br />tentatively approve the Disaster Preparedness Budget. Motion passed. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Equipment Re lacement <br />City Manager Young .introduced the Equipment Replacement Budget, saying <br />that there is a balance of $52,000 left in this budget, everything else <br />has been spent on the current equipment. Staff is currently looking <br />into televising the Council. Meetings and upgrading the microphone system <br />at the dais. <br />Moved by Councilmember Bennett, seconded by Councilmember Cisneros, to <br />tentatively approve the Equipment Replacement Budget. Motion passed. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />City Clerk: <br />City Clerk Ramos provided a brief history on each of the three divisions <br />within the department's area of responsibility - City Clerk, Risk <br />Management and Cemetery. Ramos introduced Deputy City Clerk. <br />Teresa Delgado and Administrative Analyst II Joanne Knowles, who each <br />provided the Council with an overview of the functions and duties <br />performed within their respective divisions. <br />Councilmember Cook inquired as to what the Special Department Expense <br />Account entailed. City Clerk Ramos responded that account corers the <br />expenses incurred for supplies and usage of the xerox and postage <br />machines for the City. <br />Loved by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded, by Councilmember Cisneros, to <br />tentatively approve the City Clerk's Budget.
