PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Landscape Maintenance No. 'I <br />Mayor Gonzales announced that there is a request for continuance of this public <br />hearing to July B, 1993. Councilmember Bennett asked why it was being postponed <br />again. City Manager "young responded that he was gathering information for a future <br />recommendation to consider the work to be done in-house as opposed to contracting <br />out which would allow the City to realize cost savings. acting Public Works Director <br />reported that the evaluation is taking place now to determine if there are possible <br />savings by prodding in-house services. With City Council approval, Mayor Gonzales <br />continued the Public bearing to July B, 1993 at 7:30 P. M. <br />Streets <br />Mayor Gonzales announced that this was the time and place fixed for public hearing <br />to consider Ordering the Abandonment of Westerly 275 Foot Portion of Alley Bonded <br />Westerly by plinth Street, Easterly by Tenth Street, between "G" Street and "H" <br />Street. <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the public hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests <br />or objections were received. <br />Acting Public Forks Director button prodded brief summary of the formation of the <br />alley and the present problems relating to encroachment, be reminded the Council <br />that it had adopted the Intention to Vacate (Resolution No. R-35-93,) Mr. Mutton <br />informed that both parties have agreed to meet with City staff in an attempt to <br />resolve the issues prior to the Public Hearing, Staff recommended that an extension <br />of the encroachment permit be approved by Council until ,July ?f 1993, <br />Motion made by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Ries, to extend <br />the encroachment permit until July 7, 1993, and to continue the public hearing until <br />July 6, 1993. Unanimous vote. <br />General Plan <br />Mayor Gonzales announced that this was the time and place fixed for public hearing <br />to consider File Index Nurnber D-52-92, an Amendment to the City`s General Plan, <br />Updating the Circulation Element. <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Nearing open. <br />J tJ "N 1. x <br />4/ 91 <br />
