STAFF REPORTS: <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />(22) Approve and Adopt Resolution to Approve the Expenditure Plan for the Revenues <br />Expected to be Derived from the Proposed Continuation of Measure I, San <br />Bernardino County's One -Half of One Percent Sales Tax for Transportation <br />Improvements, Tentatively Scheduled for Voter Consideration on November 2, 2004, <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-54-04. <br />City Manager Parrish presented an overview of the agenda report for Council consideration and <br />requested approval of staff's recommendation. <br />After discussion Motion/second by Chastain/Hernandez to approve and adopt Resolution No. R- <br />54-04. Unanimous vote. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: (cont'd) <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />• Colton Disposal Annual Report <br />The Colton Disposal <br />Annual Report was presented by Tom Voght, President of Colton <br />Disposal with introduction of additional staff who were present to assist on any questions, <br />Barry Love and Peter <br />Stromberg. A PowerPoint presentation included the following items: <br />✓ <br />Company Facts and Figures <br />✓ <br />Residential Curbside Services <br />✓ <br />Commercial Industrial Service <br />✓ <br />Quality Service <br />✓ <br />Cost Effectiveness <br />✓ <br />Residential Rate <br />✓ <br />AB939 <br />✓ <br />Inland Regional Material Recovery Facility <br />✓ <br />Enhancements to the Community <br />Discussion and clarification to Council questions were provided by the Colton Disposal staff <br />regarding as to how the inland regional site fills their job positions; will there be increases in job <br />positions; and invited Colton Disposal to work with the City's Code Enforcement Division to <br />identify businesses or apartment complex's to determine if there is a need for additional trash <br />bins. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Park Fees <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider a resolution of the City Council of the City of <br />Colton, adopting certain new fees and increasing certain existing fees for various community <br />and park facilities and services provided by the City. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera said the Affidavit of Publication was on file in the City Clerk's Office and <br />stated that no protests or objections were received. <br />2004 MAY 18 REG CC/RDA/CUA MEETING - 3 - <br />
