Mayor Bennett calls the Newly -elected City Officials forward. Oath of Office is administered by Carolina <br />Barrera, City Clerk and Certificate of Election is issued. <br />RECESS: <br />At 6:22 p.m., Mayor Bennett declared a recess for a reception and at 6:38 p.m., the meeting was <br />reconvened with all Members present there from. Councilmember Suchil assumed his place at the dais. <br />COMMENTS FROM INCOMING CITY OFFICIALS <br />CM Suchil, Mitchell, Chastain and City Clerk Barrera, each listed goals to be accomplished and <br />expressed gratitude to family, friends and campaign workers. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Suchil, Mitchell, Ramos, Chastain, De La Rosa, Hernandez and Mayor <br />Bennett. City Manager Parrish, City Attorney Derleth, and City Clerk Barrera. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER <br />7,2004. <br />Mayor Bennett asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest <br />pursuant to CIVIC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Award Daniel Schneider, representing the Southern California Municipal Athletic <br />Federation (SCMAF) presented and Outstanding Service Agency Award for 2004 <br />for Community Services department to Bill Smith. <br />Presentation Paul Bracci, Past President <br />check for $1,915.86 to the <br />Recreation Foundation. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />General Plan <br />of the Colton Chamber of Commerce, presented a <br />City Treasurer for the benefit of the Colton Parks & <br />This was the time and place fixed for the consideration of an amendment to the General Plan Land Use <br />Map to redesignate property from limited commercial to general commercial and an amendment to the <br />City of Colton official zoning map to rezone property from C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial) to C-2 <br />(General Commercial) for property located at 801 North Rancho Avenue (File Index Number DAP -000- <br />335). An environmental assessment and negative declaration have been prepared for the project and will <br />also be considered by the City Council. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera said the Affidavit of Publication regarding the Public Hearing was on file in the City <br />Clerk's Office and stated that no protests or objections were received. <br />Mayor declared the Public Hearing Open. <br />2004 DECEMBER 07 REG SPEC CC/RDA/CUA MEETING- 2 - <br />
