Motion carried with CM Chastain/De <br />La Rosa absent. <br />(12) Street Name Change — Approve and Adopt a Resolution to Accept Larch Street Name <br />Change to Miracle Lane, RESOLUTION NO. R-12-05. <br />CM Suchil expressed his concerns regarding failure to have a policy in place regarding the <br />naming or renaming of streets. <br />Motion/second by CM Suchil/Mitchell to deny Resolution No. R-12-05 and directed staff to <br />prepare a policy to be implemented for street naming. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the City Council in support of approval of street name <br />change: Electa William <br />Discussion continued by CM Hernandez regarding the concerns on policy currently used for <br />street naming. City Manager Parrish explained that the policy used was from the vehicle code. <br />Mayor Bennett explained that she was in agreement with CM Suchil regarding the need for a <br />policy.
