Waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of <br />Colton Amending Chapters 6.32 and 15.16 of the Colton Municipal Code Regarding the <br />Regulation of Fireworks, ORDINANCE NO. 0-10-05. <br />Motion/second by CM Hernandez/Suchil to waive full reading and pass first reading of <br />Ordinance No. 0-10-05. Motion carried with CM De La Rosa absent. <br />Southern California Public Power Authority Natural Gas Project <br />Waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of an Ordinance of the City of Colton, California, <br />Approving Entering into the Southern California Public Power Authority Natural Gas Project Gas <br />Sales Agreement as a Project "A" Participant; and Approve and Adopt a Resolution, <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-11-05 and RESOLUTION NO. R-60-05. <br />Electric Utilities Director Olko explained that the City of Burbank had reconsidered their <br />participation and the changes to the ordinance would read to include the City of Burbank and <br />because the agreement that is approved by resolution has changes and until the agreement is <br />updated the resolution cannot be approved, therefore, it will be returned to be approved when <br />the 2"d reading of 0-11-05 is presented. The changes would read as follows: <br />(Second whereas will read) Whereas, certain SCPPA Members, to wit, the California <br />cities, have investigated the feasibility of the acquisition and development of certain gas <br />resources, reserves, fields, wells, and related facilities in order to, among other things, <br />provide a long-term supply of natural gas for the purpose of fueling electrical generation <br />needs of the Participants; and <br />(Last line of fourth whereas will read) The Project "A" participants will consist of the <br />various California Cities <br />Motion/second by CM Hernandez/Ramos to waive full reading and pass first reading of <br />Ordinance No. 0-11-05 with changes as read by Electric Utilities Director Olko.
