That the salary ranges of the positions represented by the Association <br />be increased five (5) percent, as indicated on Exhibit A attached. <br />2. That said salary ranges shall be effective on the first day of <br />July, 1977. <br />3. That the City of Colton shall pay for each affected employee the <br />sum of forty (40) dollars per month towards the present Blue Cross plan, <br />effective November 1, 1977. The present contribution rate of $21.36 per <br />affected employee, per month, shall continue through October 31, 1977. <br />If the forty dollars ($40) per month City premium payment ex- <br />ceeds the premium cost for employee only coverage, then the City will con- <br />tinue to provide the forty dollars (40) per month premium payment so long <br />as the difference between the employee only premium cost and forte dollars (40) <br />is utilized for dependent coverage under the existing medical insurance plan. <br />Additionally, the City shall cooperate with the Association in an <br />attempt to purchase a new, improved insurance program. However, in no <br />case shall the initial premium cost of any such plan for employee only <br />coverage exceed forty dollars (40) per month. <br />4. That the present PERS contract be amended to allow military service <br />credit buy back effective January 1, 1978, and an actuarial be provided to de- <br />termine costs to provide single highest year computed compensation upon retire- <br />ment. <br />5.
