Billing demand shall be determined to the <br />nearest kw, <br />MAXIMUM DEMAND: <br />3, The maximum demand in any month shall be the measured maximum <br />kilowatt input indicated or recorded by instruments to be supplied <br />by the utility during any fifteen minute metered interval in the <br />month. When the demand is intermittent or subject to violent <br />fluctuations, a five-minute interval may be used. <br />POWER FACTOR ADJUSTMENT: <br />4. The charges shall be increased by $.30 for each kvar of reactive <br />demand in excess of 0.6 times the kilowatt demand measured during <br />the billing period. The kilovars of reactive demand shall be <br />calculated by multiplying the kilowatts of measured maximum demand <br />by the ratio of the kilovar-hours-to the kilowatt-hours.- Demands <br />in kilowatts and kilovars shall be determined to the nearest unit.' <br />A ratchet: device will be installed on the kilovar-hour meter to <br />prevent its reverse operation on leading power factors. <br />TEMPORARY DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE: <br />5. When the use of energy is seasonal or intermittent, no adjustments <br />will be made for a temporary discontinuance of service. Any customer, <br />Prior to resumingservice within 12 months after such service was <br />discontinued, will be required to pay all charges which would have <br />been billed if service had not been discontinued. <br />FUEL COST ADJUSTMENT: <br />6. The rates above are subject to adjustment as provided for in <br />schedule F.C.A. The applicable fuel cost adjustment billing factor <br />set forth therein will be applied to all kwhr billed under this <br />schedule. <br />
