The City Council of the City of Colton <br />hereby initiates proceedings for the formation of City of Colton <br />Landscaping & Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 within the <br />City of Colton for the purposes of providing for the improvement, <br />servicing and maintenance of landscaping & public lighting <br />facilities located within the proposed District, and to levy and <br />collect special benefit assessments to pay the costs thereof, <br />all pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972. <br />Section 2. The maintenance proposed to be performed <br />consists of the ordinary and usual maintenance, operation, and <br />servicing of certain public parkways, parks and public lighting <br />facilities, including: <br />(a) Repair, removal, or replacement of all or any <br />part of the improvements thereon; <br />(b) Providing for the life, growth, health, and <br />beauty of the landscaping thereon, including cultivation, irri- <br />gation trimming, spraying, fertilizing, or treating for disease <br />or injury; and <br />(c) The removal of trimming, rubbish, debris, and <br />other solid waste. <br />(d) The furnishing of services and materials for the <br />ordinary and usual maintenance, operation and servicing of all <br />works of improvements used or useful for the lighting of any <br />-2- <br />
