1 and Lighting Act of 1972 (Streets and Highways Code Section <br />2 22500 et seq.) and levy and collect annual assessments within <br />3 the area so annexed; and <br />4 WHEREAS, the Engineer of Work has prepared and <br />5 filed with the City Clerk a report containing the matters <br />6 specified in Section 22567, et seq. of the California <br />7 Streets & Highways'Code;'and <br />8 WHEREAS, this City Council has read,reviewed and <br />9 approved the Engineer of Work Report as filed; and <br />10 WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience require <br />11 the maintenance, servicing and operation of landscaping and <br />N -12 appurtenant facilities within that area designated Annexation <br />X o <br />k w m p ° 13 No. 1 to City of Colton Lighting and Landscaping Maintenance <br />o <br />W- N o a 14 <br />v O o District No. 1. <br />M <br />0N�� 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council <br />3�°0�' <br />F $ N ° 16 of the Cit of Colton as follows: <br />N N o y <br />W �fa� <br />m 17 Section 1. That this City Council hereby declares <br />18 its intention to levy and collect special assessments within_ <br />19 the boundaries of Annexation No. 1 to City of Colton Lighting <br />20 and Landscaping Maintenance District No. I ("District") for <br />21 fiscal year 1984-1985 pursuant to the Landscaping and Light <br />22 ing Act of 1972 to pay the 'costs of ordinary and usual main - <br />23 tenance, operating and servicing certain public lighting and <br />24 landscaping within roadway right-of-way and public utility <br />25 easements within the incorporated boundaries of the City of <br />26 Colton as they existed on May 1, 1984, more particularly <br />27 described on a map which is on file in the City Clerk's <br />28 office. <br />-2 <br />
