ment of an area within the territorial li-+ts of the Ciy of <br />Colton by the Redevelopment A,:-ncy for the ^ity of: Colton. <br />2.3 District is an affected taxing entity <br />which had general purpose property taxes levied on its <br />behalf by the County of San Bernardino on all of the prop- <br />erty located in the proposed Project Area in fiscal year <br />1982-83. <br />2.4 The California Community Redevelopment <br />Law (Health & Safety Code, Sections 33000, et sig. autho- <br />rizes redevelopment agencies to reduce the costs they expect <br />to incur in order to reduce the amount or tax increment <br />needed and to pay to any 'taxing agency with territory <br />located :within a project area other than the community which <br />has adopted the project, any amounts of money which in the <br />agency's determination is appropriate. <br />2.5 District has submitted objections to Pro- <br />ject's financial impact and has determined that Projec_ will <br />cause financial burden or detriment. <br />2.6 District and A_e-!cy have entered into an <br />amended cooperative agreement ("Amended Agree:rent") between_ <br />themselves to provide mutual aid and assistance in the <br />redevelopment of certain areas of City through the <br />construction, operation and maintenance of public school <br />facilities, structuLes, equipment and apparatus including <br />public educatic-.n personnel costs (hereinaLter collectively <br />referred to as "public school -facilities") and a copy of the <br />
