CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of August 7, 1990 <br />TO: CITY COUNCIL - " <br />FROM: MAYOR GONZALES <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION DESIGNATING SAN BERNARDINO Date: August 2, 1990 <br />COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AS THE AGENCY TO <br />DEVELOP A CONGESTION MANAGOyINT PROGRAM <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Recently, legislation was passed (AB1791) mandating an annual development, adoption <br />and implementation of a County wide congestion management plan (CMP). <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: <br />The mandate requires the program to be developed in consultation with, and with the <br />cooperation of, the regional transportation planning agency, regional transportation <br />providers, local agencies, the Department and AQMD. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />AB1791 mandates a cooperative program for congestion management. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />At this time, no costs have been estimated <br />impact. <br />ENV I ROAfi=AL IMPACT: <br />Future reduction of traffic congestion. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Resolution does not have a financial <br />Adoption of the attached Resolution designating the San Bernardino County <br />Transportation Commission as the agency to develop a congestion management program. <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of — Item No. <br />
