Specifically, the marketing plan will include the following: <br />■ Providing information about ridesharing services and incendves <br />■ Distributing tiansit information <br />■ Posting program information on company bulletin boards <br />■ Distributing information about on-site services <br />■ Providing informarion about park and ride lots <br />Information will be distributed through the use of flyers, posters, and city promotional materials. <br />� Facilitation: Research data indicates that program supportive activities can increase participadon <br />in commute modes by an additional 15-2096. To facilitate employee matching and increase <br />� ridesharing interest, the ETC will plan activities that involve the efforts of employees in each <br />department. Supportive activities will include: <br />■ Distributing matchlists - <br />■ Following-up with employees who receive matchlists <br />■ Being available, by phone or in person, to help solve commute problems <br />■ Organizing bicycle commuting clinics <br />■ Organizing ridesharing fairs, clitics and events <br />■ Distributing transit passes <br />■ Conducting "Meet Your Match" coffee breaks <br />Operational Support: As facilitation programs take effect, the City of Colton will implement <br />an incentive plan and make improvements at the Corporate Yard to achieve the 1.5 AVR. The <br />goal is to employ an aggressive marketing scheme that will facilitate each phase of the plan's <br />implementation. Informational activities will begin during the first year of the program and be <br />ongoing. Support strategies will include: <br />■ Implementation of a bus pass subsidy program <br />■ Development and implementation of an awards program for alternative mode <br />commuters <br />■ Guaranteed ride home program <br />■ Mode-related gift certificates for cyclists and walkers <br />12 <br />
