If adapted, the interim urgency ar�inance will <br />prvhibit issuance af �ny permits, iacluding building permits far tempvrary or permanent <br />administrative structures, on prc�perty lrnown to be proposed for a compp�ting use until s�ch <br />time as the CYty Council Shall have the opportunity to review thc �urrent prrrvisions of the <br />Colton Municipal Gcxle (the "City Code") t� determine whether revisions are necessary to <br />protect the health, s�fety and wclfare of the citiuns of Coltos�. If it is det�rmined that such <br />re�isipns are necessary, ihe moratoriuFn may be eatended to allc�w the �ity t�me to enact <br />such revisians. <br />The immediate rea�on for this proposed moratorium is that ane compvsting <br />facility is dlrea�iy operating in the City wi�thout a conditianal use permit and anath�r <br />composting facility has been proposed within the City.
