CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT (CONTINUED) <br />June 16, 1992 <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF__ <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Change Orders to Contracts with Krieger and Stewart <br />DISCUSSION CONTINUED: <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant -- <br />The contractor for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Replacement Facilities, Vido <br />Smarvich, has not completed the project within the contract time frame. Krieger <br />and Stewart has notified the contractor that the City intends to collect liquidated <br />damages in the amount of $500 per calendar day beginning May 24, 1992 for work not <br />completed per the contract. There are several items remaining to be completed, and <br />it is anticipated that the liquidated damages collected will offset the additional <br />engineering costs for Krieger and Stewart. <br />RECCN1y1ENDAT ION ; <br />Staff recommends that Council approve the two change orders for Krieger and Stewart <br />for consulting engineering services for FY91-92 in the amount of $30,000; and for <br />engineering and contract administration services for the FY90-91 Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant Replacement Facilities in the amount of $40,000. <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Page_ 2 of_ 2 Item No.. <br />
