R-30-94 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CITIZENS' ADVISORY <br />COMMITTEE AND MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND <br />DETERMINATIONS REGARDING THE INABILITY TO FORM A <br />PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission for the City of Colton <br />has previously approved a preliminary plan and has adopted the <br />proposed boundaries of the redevelopment project area for the <br />Rancho/Mill Redevelopment Project ("the Project Area"); and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Project Area includes certain <br />residential units which are believed to be occupied by persons or <br />families of low or moderate income; and <br />WHEREAS, full implementation of the proposed <br />Rancho/Mill Redevelopment Project could cause the displacement of <br />some of the residents in the Project Area; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Health and Safety Code <br />§ 33385, the City Council of the City of Colton (the "City <br />Council") has an obligation to call upon the residents within the <br />proposed project area as well as certain business organizations <br />and/or landowners to cause the creation of a Project Area <br />Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Health and Safety Code <br />§ 33385 and pursuant thereto, the City Council with the <br />assistance of the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton <br />-1- <br />
