Crowe, Lieutenant <br />Date: October 3, 1994 <br />Subject: High Visibility Patrol - Special Attention Beat 4 <br />Because the crime rates reported in much of the beat four area are low, residents do not <br />have the opportunity to meet officers patrolling their neighborhoods. To ensure that our <br />citizens in the area, specifically surrounding Veteran's Park and Luque Center, see our <br />patrol units several methods should be adapted to by our personnel which encourage high <br />visibility and social contact. Officers needing to complete reports should be encouraged <br />to use the parking lot of Luque Center. In the event officers are required to exchange <br />information using this parking lot should be highly considered. Please place an emphasis <br />on safety issues such as burned out street lights, damaged street signs, abandoned <br />vehicles, etc., and report them to the proper city departments. <br />Let's be, seen in the neighborhoods as we continue to provide excellent police service. <br />PGC/rw <br />
