139 <br />Upon duly and legally held public hearing, hearing was terminated on motion of Councilwoman <br />Spragins, seconded by Councilman Rehrer. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes to approve Resolution No. 3490B, <br />Ordering Abandonment of Sixth Street, north of "K" Street. Vote was unanimous. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />School District <br />Presentation of School Tax Override by Dr. Owen Cook was held over until Dr. Cook's arrival. <br />Boards and Commissions <br />Recreation & Parks Commission <br />Report on election of officers by David Lozano. Chairman, Dick Mosher, Vice -Chairman, David <br />Lozano. <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES: <br />Agreements <br />School District <br />Mr. Earl Young reported from his memorandum dated January 17, 1975, regarding leasing of sewer <br />plant property by the School District for use in their Future Farmers of America Program. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to instruct Staff to forward copies <br />of the lease to the School District for presentation and action by the School Board and to <br />return the lease for Council Action. Vote was unanimous. <br />Cemetery <br />Fees <br />Mr. Young reported from his memorandum dated January 17, 1975, on Proposed Cemetery Rates. <br />Mr. Young presented Exhibit A, Cemetery Rate Survey, and Exhibit B, Projected Revenue based <br />on Cemetery Commission recommended increases and Staff's recommendation. <br />Special Note: <br />Councilman Gonzales entered the Council Chambers at 7:38 p.m. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution No. 3491, <br />Reflecting a 22% Cemetery Fees Increase, Vote was unanimous. <br />CITY MANAGER: <br />Police <br />Services <br />City Manager Huffaker reported from his memorandum dated January 16, 1975, regarding amending <br />Resolution No. 3166, finger printing fees. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins, to approve Resolution No. 3492, <br />amending Resolution No. 3166, increasing Finger Printing Fees from $2.00 to $3.00. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />Agreements <br />Animals (Large) <br />Acting Police Chief Elliott reported from his memorandum dated January 16, 1975, entitled <br />"Proposed Animal Livestock Pickup Contract". <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins, to authorize the Mayor to <br />execute the Contract for large livestock pickup by and between the City and Mr. Bill Freeman. <br />Vote was unanimous. <br />Fire Department <br />Equipment <br />City Manager reported from his memorandum of January 16, 1975, requesting advertising for <br />Mobile Intensive Care Equipment. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to advertise for Portable Cardiac <br />Telemetry Communication System and Portable Battery Operated Cardioscope/Defibrillator with <br />ECG Recorder. Vote was unanimous. <br />PArc nnn A 1 <br />UP11A <br />City Manager reported from his amendment to Pay and Classification memorandum of January 17, <br />1975. <br />City Manager Huffaker requested approval of a resolution to allow the hiring of an Electrical <br />Engineering Aide/Draftsman and a Planning Aide under the Comprehensive Employment and Training <br />Act, Section VI. <br />JAN 2 � 1375 <br />
