<br />City Manager Huffaker referred to correspondence from the City of Victorville, and their resolution, regarding
<br />SB -275, Comprehensive Labor Relations Measure. Mr. Huffaker requested permission to prepare and submit the
<br />City of Colton's Resolution at the next regular Council meeting.

<br />City Manager Huffaker recommended that letter received from the Board of Supervisors, County of Los Angeles,
<br />be placed on the Agenda for the next regular Council meeting.

<br />Mr. Huffaker referred to a letter dated March 18, 1975, from Mr. Jose Lopez, requesting a permit to hold a dance
<br />at the Patio Supremo on Saturday, May 3, 1975, from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
<br />Moved by Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve request subject to ratification of
<br />Building Inspection Director and Chief of Police. Unanimous vote.

<br />Planning Director Williams referred to his memorandum dated March 12, 1975, regarding an off-site billboard sign
<br />request from By -You Bobs Restaurant, to be located on an existing sign structure on the miniature golf course
<br />property.
<br />Moved by Councilwoman Spragins, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to approve off-site billboard sign request
<br />of By -You Bobs Restaurant. Vote was unanimous.

<br />Automatic Sprinkling System
<br />Community Services Director Young read from his memornadum dated March 13, 1975, with regard to awarding bids
<br />for the automatic sprinkling systems for Veterans Park and Hermosa Cemetery.
<br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins, to award bid for automatic sprinkling system
<br />at Veterans Park to Schmidlin Brothers, Inc. , $27,206. Vote was unanimous.

<br />at Hermosa Cemetery to Collins Irrigation, $42,086. Unanimous vote.

<br />Mr. Young read from his memornadum dated March 13, 1975, regarding request from the Recreation and Parks
<br />Commission that the $15, 000 budgeted for park improvements be spent immediately for the improvements recom-
<br />mended, with $9,540 for the purchase of playground equipment at Davis Park, and the remaining $5,460 be carried
<br />over into next year's budget with additional monies to be budgeted for the completion of projects at Municipal and
<br />Veterans Parks under the State Bond Act.
<br />Mr. Young advised it is Staff's recommendation that none of the $15, 000 be spent at this time, due to the City's
<br />committment to the State Park Bond Issue and inflationary increases..,
<br />Chairman Richard :Mosher, of the Recreation and Parks Commission, said the $15,000 amount had nothing to do
<br />with the State Park Bond Issue, this is a separate item and monies the Council had previously budgeted for park
<br />improvements .
<br />Councilman Gonzales and Hayes reported they had listened to the tape recording of Special Meeting, July 10, 1974,
<br />and feel $15, 000 was to be considered separate and above from the State Bond .monies .
<br />Discussion followed regarding disbursement of budgeted funds for the parks.
<br />Moved by Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve request of Recreation and Parks
<br />Commission for expenditure of budgeted funds at Davis Park in the amount of $9, 540. Upon Roll Call, the Vote was:
<br />Ayes: Four, Hayes, Spragins, Rehrer, Gonzales .
