Appointments s <br />Mayor Gonzales referred to his memorandum dated May 16, 1978, recommending the <br />appointment of Police Chief Phil Elliott as the City's representative to the <br />Arrowhead Justice Association. <br />Councilman Rehrer requested that this item be held over to a later date. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Zoning <br />P. C. Res. No. 874 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no <br />protests or objections had been received. <br />Planning Director Gonzales reported from his memorandum dated May 11, 1978, out- <br />lining the change of zones and general locations for the prezoning of Annexations <br />North 13 and 14, South 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33, and East 31, advising that at this <br />time the City of Colton is the only public entity having the capacity to furnish <br />water, sewer and other municipal services to these annexations, and Staff finds <br />(Y� the proposed prezonings are consistent with the residential designations of the <br />properties as outlined in the City's General Plan and that of Grand Terrace. <br />Q Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter at this time. <br />Q <br />Q Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to terminate the <br />Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1541 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 964, <br />First Reading— AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />Street Vacations <br />Rosedale Avenue <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no <br />protests or objections had been received. <br />Community Services Director Earl Young advised that the Planning Commission, <br />at a meeting held March 28, 1978, approved the vacation of Rosedale Avenue, <br />which was requested by Wight Hopkins Development Company in connection with <br />Tract No. 9942. <br />Mr. Young stated Rosedale Avenue, north of Litton Avenue, is an unimproved <br />right-of-way with an existing power line owned by Edison, for which a 25 foot <br />easement has been obtained. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to terminate the <br />Public Hearing. Vote was unanimous. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolu- <br />tion No. 3815.
