W <br />Mr. Young advised the Planning Commission, at a meeting held March 14, 1978, recom- <br />mended approval of the tentative tract, and the necessary signature and bonds have <br />been received. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Tract <br />No. 10280. Unanimous vote. <br />Tract Files <br />Mr. Young advised that all subdivision improvements in Tract No. 9168 have been <br />completed in accordance with the requirements of the City Council and the City's <br />Subdivision Ordinance, therefore, Staff would recommend the Subdivision Improve- <br />ment Bonds be released and the tract accepted. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to approve and accept <br />Tract No. 9168. Unanimous vote. <br />City Properties <br />Mr. Young reported on a request from Henry Gonzales for use of the road at the <br />City's abandoned sewer plant property on Agua Mansa Road for a period of approxi- <br />mately six months to haul sand. <br />Mr. Young said Staff recommends approval of the request, subject to Mr. Gonzales <br />entering into an agreement to hold the City harmlessfrom any action caused by <br />his activities, furnish the City with a copy of his liability insurance, and in- <br />stall a gate at the south end of the property at his cost. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving and <br />authorizing use of City property as requested by Mr. Henry -Gonzales as outlined <br />by Staff. Vote was unanimous. <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Gonzales stated that May 19 and 20, 1978, will be proclaimed as the Days <br />for the Annual Sale of Poppies for the various organizations in the City of <br />Colton. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving sale of <br />poppies on May 19 and 20, 1978, by the V.F.W. Post 6476. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, approving sale of <br />poppies on May 19 and 20, 19785 by the D.A.V. Vote was unanimous. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving sale of poppies <br />on May 19 and 20, 1978, by the American Legion Auxiliary Post 155. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Agreements <br />City Manager Calabrese requested approval and authorization from the City Council <br />to renew contracts/agreements with the County of San Bernardino for helicopter <br />services, Contract No. 76/763/A-2, in the amount of $16,664.19, and for use of <br />the Sheriff's Pistol Range, Contract No. 76/484/A-2, in the amount of $223.65, <br />for 1978-79, which amounts are included in the proposed budget for the new fiscal <br />year. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve renewal <br />contracts/agreements with County of San Bernardino relating to helicopter services <br />and Sheriff's Pistol Range services, as outlined by Staff, and authorizing Mayor <br />to execute same. Vote was unanimous. <br />Transportation <br />Dial -A -Ride Services <br />Mr. Calabrese reported from his memorandum regarding Dial -A -Ride services in the <br />City of Colton, requesting Council's opinion and direction on who will administer <br />this program for the fiscal year, 1978-79, the City of Colton or OMNITRANS. <br />MAY 161978 <br />
