Mr. Calabrese advised that the purpose of the public hearing this evening is to 163 bring the position of City Auditor under the direction of the City Manager and amend the Personnel System Rules and Regulations. Mr. Calabrese advised this would not involve a change in salary, the salary schedule for this position would remain the same. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution No. 3869. Vote was unanimous. RESOLUTION NO. 3869 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING THE PAY AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN. Personnel Accountant Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. () Personnel Officer Calabrese submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that Co no protests or objections had been received. Mr. Calabrese advised the City is desirous of hiring an Accountant for the Finance Department, to assist the Director of Finance in municipal accounting and financial records, budgetary procedures, and also to perform special studies and surveys. Mr. Q Calabrese advised that the salary and range of this position would be the same as that of City Auditor. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Councilman Rehrer suggested this matter be continued to the next regular Council Meeting and requested further reports from Staff, stating he felt that an Account Clerk would be able to handle this position. Council Members were in agreement with Councilman Rehrer's suggestion. Personnel City Holidays Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. Personnel Officer Calabrese submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that no protests or objections had been received. Mr. Calabrese advised that the City's Personnel System Rules and Regulations, Rule XI, Section 10, "City Holidays" need to be amended to conform with the Memorandum of Understandi-ng previously approved by the City Council, with re- gard to removal of one holiday, now known as Election Day, and replacement of same with one floating holiday annually for general employees. Mr. Calabrese recommended adoption of Resolution No. 3871, authorizing and ap- proving the amendment. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Resolution No. 3871. Vote was unanimous.
