Mr. Calabrese advised that the purpose of the public hearing this evening is to 163 <br />bring the position of City Auditor under the direction of the City Manager and <br />amend the Personnel System Rules and Regulations. Mr. Calabrese advised this <br />would not involve a change in salary, the salary schedule for this position would <br />remain the same. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to terminate the Public <br />Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution No. <br />3869. Vote was unanimous. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3869 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING <br />THE PAY AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN. <br />Personnel <br />Accountant <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />() Personnel Officer Calabrese submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that <br />Co no protests or objections had been received. <br />Mr. Calabrese advised the City is desirous of hiring an Accountant for the Finance <br />Department, to assist the Director of Finance in municipal accounting and financial <br />records, budgetary procedures, and also to perform special studies and surveys. Mr. <br />Q Calabrese advised that the salary and range of this position would be the same as <br />that of City Auditor. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to terminate the Public <br />Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Councilman Rehrer suggested this matter be continued to the next regular Council <br />Meeting and requested further reports from Staff, stating he felt that an Account <br />Clerk would be able to handle this position. <br />Council Members were in agreement with Councilman Rehrer's suggestion. <br />Personnel <br />City Holidays <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Personnel Officer Calabrese submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that <br />no protests or objections had been received. <br />Mr. Calabrese advised that the City's Personnel System Rules and Regulations, <br />Rule XI, Section 10, "City Holidays" need to be amended to conform with the <br />Memorandum of Understandi-ng previously approved by the City Council, with re- <br />gard to removal of one holiday, now known as Election Day, and replacement of <br />same with one floating holiday annually for general employees. <br />Mr. Calabrese recommended adoption of Resolution No. 3871, authorizing and ap- <br />proving the amendment. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to terminate the <br />Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Resolution No. <br />3871.
