No. 895 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no Protests or objections had been received. Planning Director Gonzales reported on the zone change application, requested by Arlie 0. Aten, to change the zone from C-1 to C -2-X, which will involve three lots, all vacant and containing 60 foot frontages and running 140 feet in depth, with a total acreage of 25,200 square feet, on property located west of Mt. Vernon Avenue, north of Laurel Avenue, in the 1400 block of Rialto Avenue. Mr. Gonzales advised that the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this matter, September 27, 1978, and recommend approval of the zone change as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 895. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to waive further reading of Ordinance No. 1551. Vote was unanimous. ORDINANCE NO. 1551 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 9645 First Reading AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIONS. Zoning P. C. Res. No.. 894 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or objections had been received. Mr. Gonzales reported on the General Plan Amendment, Index No. A-12-78, to the Land Use Element, outlining the proposed land use redesignation of five areas of the City. Mr. Gonzales advised the Planning Commission held a public hearing September 27, 1978, and recommend approval of the General Plan Amendment and land use redesig- nations as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 894. Mr. Gonzales further advised that an environmental assessment has been made, however, a nega- tive declaration must also be issued, therefore, it would be in order for the City Council to accept the negative declaration and approve Resolution No. 3865.
