Vote was unanimous. <br />Annexations <br />South 35 <br />Planning Director Gonzales reviewed Colton Annexation South 35, a 15 acre parcel <br />located at the southeast corner of Bostick and Litton Avenues. <br />Mr. Gonzales advised the Local Agency Formation Commission has received letters <br />from two property owners protesting the annexation, making the annexation less <br />than 100 percent landowner consent, therefore, requiring a public hearing. <br />Mr. Gonzales said Staff recommends setting for public hearing on Tuesday, November <br />7, 1978, Colton Annexation South 35, and approval of Resolution No. 3862. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to set for Public <br />Hearing on Tuesday, November 7, 1978, Colton Annexation South 35, and approve <br />Resolution No. 3862. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3862 - A RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY <br />OF COLTON UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIG- <br />NATED "COLTON ANNEXATION SOUTH 35" AND GIVING NOTICE TO THE <br />TIME AND PLACE FIXED FOR HEARING PROTESTS THERETO. <br />Annexations <br />South 34 <br />Mr. Gonzales reported that Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 3861, approv- <br />ing Colton Annexation South 34, a .057 acre parcel located west of La Cadena Drive <br />and north of Rosedale Avenue, and part of Tract No. 9942, containing 48 single- <br />family homes presently under construction. <br />Mr. Gonzales advised that the L.A.F.C. approved this annexation to the City of <br />Colton on September 13, 1978. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution <br />No. 3861. Vote was unanimous. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3861 - RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED <br />TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "COLTON ANNEXATION SOUTH 3411, TO THE <br />CITY OF COLTON AND WITHDRAWING SAID ANNEXED AREA FROM COUNTY <br />SERVICE AREA NO. 38 AND IMPROVEMENT ZONE G OF COUNTY SERVICE <br />.AREA NO. 38, AND COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 70 AND IMPROVEMENT <br />ZONE A OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 70. <br />Conditional Use Permits <br />P. C. Res. No. 897 <br />Mr. Gonzales reviewed a Conditional Use Permit application requested by G -W <br />Land Company, to construct 293 single-family residences on property located <br />north of the Reche Canyon Flood Control Channel, south of Cooley Lane, east of <br />Interstate 15-E, and west of Poole Road, Tentative Tract No. 10442. <br />Mr. Gonzales advised this item was referred back to the Planning Commission at <br />the request of the developer and engineer for the project, the request predicated <br />on additional information and revision of their tentative map to alleviate con- <br />cerns expressed by Staff and the .Commission. <br />Mr. Gonzales reported that the cul-de-sacs in question have been eliminated and <br />through -streets designed for better circulation and fire protection. Typical <br />plot plans have been submitted of various sized lots for consideration, and plans <br />have also been submitted for the recreational facilities, including swimming pool, <br />tot playground, tennis courts, play areas, picnic and open space areas. <br />Mr. Gonzales stated the Planning Commission considered this application at a public <br />hearing held September 27, 1978, and recommend approval of the Conditional Use <br />Permit, subject to eleven conditions, as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution <br />No. 897. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 897, Index No. C-9-78.
