Mayor Gonzales read in full the three Proclamations, the latter, honoring Colton'3 03 <br />Western Days, accepted by Mr. Wes Hayes of the Chamber of Commerce. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Professional Organizations <br />La Placita de Agua Mansa <br />Mayor Gonzales read a letter dated August 15, 1979, from the La-Placita de Agua <br />Mansa requesting permission to close off "0" Street, where it joins La Cadena <br />Drive on the west, during the Mexican Independence Holidays, September 14, 15 <br />and 16, 1979. <br />Acting City Manager Elliott stated this same request was approved last year, and <br />Staff would recommend approval for this year, however, the Police and Fire Depart- <br />ments will be submitting reports on this matter with regard to overtime and the <br />required open fire lanes for paramedic services, if needed. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve request for <br />street closure from La Placita de Agua Mansa during Mexican Independence Holidays <br />as outlined. Unanimous vote. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Zoning <br />P. C. Res. No. 925 <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to set for Public <br />Hearing on Tuesday, September 4, 1979, at 7:30 p. m., Planning Commission Resolu- <br />tion No. 925. Vote was unanimous. <br />Conditional Use Permit <br />P. C. Res. No. 926 <br />Planning Director Gonzales reported on a Conditional Use Permit application re- <br />quested by Colton Community Church to construct offices and lounge area to the <br />existing church facilities located at 1301 North Rancho Avenue. <br />Mr. Gonzales advised that the Planning Commission considered this matter at a <br />public hearing held August 14, 1979, and recommend approval of the Conditional <br />Use Permit subject to two conditions as outlined in Planning Commission Resolu- <br />tion No. 926. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 926, Index No. C-11-79. Unanimous vote. <br />Agreements <br />Daon Corporation <br />Mr. Gonzales advised that the -Planning Commission approved a partial credit for <br />the construction tax for the Rancho Mediterrania Mobilehome Park at a previous <br />meeting held May 8, 1979, and a 50 percent reduction in the fee was also approved <br />with the stipulation that an agreement be executed regarding private ownership <br />and maintenance of all recreational amenities and open space. <br />Mr. Gonzales then referred to an Agreement between the City of Colton and the <br />Daon Corporation, drafted and approved by the City Attorney, and stated Staff <br />recommends approval of the agreement, authorizing the Mayor to execute said <br />agreement on behalf of the City. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve a.nd <br />authorize Mayor to execute Agreement between the City of Colton and the Daon <br />Corporation. Unanimous vote. <br />Planning Case Files <br />Ordinance Amendment <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to set for Public <br />Hearing on Tuesday, September 4, 1979, at 7:30 p. m., amendment to certain sec- <br />tions of Ordinance No. 1450.
