261 <br />said both of the new Community Centers are fine, however, have no provisions for the <br />youth of our community. Mrs. Hernandez also spoke about the State Park Bond Act <br />funds. <br />Officer Pat Crowe, representing the Colton Police Officers Association, stated the <br />Revenue Sharing Funds should be earmarked for Police and Fire Services due to the <br />ever-increasing population and additional State mandated laws. Officer Crowe said <br />he could sympathize with remarks made by Mrs. Hernandez, however, possibly State <br />Park Bond Act funds could be utilized for their requests. <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Rehrer stated the public hearing this evening was actually for public <br />input on the Revenue Sharing funds, there has not, as yet, been any definite appor- <br />tionment of these funds. <br />Councilwoman Cisneros asked if the Revenue Sharing funds have been incorporated in <br />the Budget that the City Council is about to review. <br />City Manager Calabrese answered this will be discussed and taken care of during <br />the Budget Sessions, that the City Council decides how and where these funds are <br />disbursed. <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Rehrer asked if anyone desired to make additional comments on the <br />Revenue Sharing funds. <br />c <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Temby, to terminate the Public <br />Hearing. Vote was unanimous. <br />Mr. Calabrese then read from a report on the State Park Bond Act monies, total <br />Q grant of $69,704, and outlined the projects that have been completed and those <br />that are yet to be completed at Municipal, Central and Veterans Parks. <br />Mr. Jimmy Campos spoke about the facilities for Veterans Park, and asked that the <br />City Council consider additional recreational facilities and programs for the youth <br />of the community, to keep them off the streets at night. <br />Real Estate <br />Guthrie Memorial <br />City Manager Calabrese reported on the relocation of Guthrie Memorial, which had <br />been discussed at a previous Council Meeting, and referred to a memo from the <br />City Engineer, dated June 12, 1979, outlining information as provided by Mr. Gordon <br />K. Huntley, Real Property Agent for the County of San Bernardino. <br />Discussion then followed with regard to the future realignment of Orange Show Road <br />to Fairway Drive, and the City's previous recommendation for a "T" alignment. <br />No action was taken or recommendation made as to the relocation of the Guthrie <br />Memorial. <br />Governmental A encies <br />SCAG <br />Mr. Calabrese presented to the Council Members, for their consideration and ap- <br />proval, a Resolution of Intent, from SCAG, requesting action by the City Council <br />to commit to implement actions specified in the 208 Areawide Waste Treatment <br />Management Plan, as outlined in a memorandum from SCAG dated February 13, 1979. <br />After discussion among Council Members, moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by <br />Councilman Temby, to table this matter for additional information. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />Legislation <br />SB -325 <br />Mr. Calabrese referred to Resolution No. 3918, which authorizes a claim for SB -325 <br />funds, in the amount of $195,607, for the City of Colton roads and highway use <br />under Article 8 of SB -325. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Mayor Pro -Tem Rehrer, to approve Resolution <br />No. 3918.
