2 5 Street Vacations Res. No. 3915 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or objections had been received. City Manager Calabrese stated the public hearing this evening is to consider any protests or objections to the abandonment of a portion of Hilltop Drive, the southerly side, east of Barton Road. Mr. Calabrese advised the Planning Commis- sion reviewed this matter and recommended approval of the subject vacation. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak in favor of or in opposition to this matter. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Resolu- tion No. 3915. Vote was unanimous. _RESOLUTION NO. 3915 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON. CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF HILLTOP DRIVE. Street Vacations Res. Mr. Calabrese advised that at a previous meeting, the City Council approved a reso- lution declaring its intention to abandon Lot "A" in Tract No. 7582, with the condi- tion to reserve an easement over and across the wieth and length for utility purposes. Mr. Calabrese stated if there are no protests to the subject vacation, Staff would recommend approval of Resolution No. 3916, ordering the abandonment of Lot "A" in Tract No. 7582. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak in favor of or in opposition to this matter. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to terminate the Public Hearing. RESOLUTION NO. 3916 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON. CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF LOT "A" IN TRACT NO. 7582. CORRESPONDENCE: Real Estate Mr. Calabrese referred to a letter dated May 29, 1979, from Mr. Gordon K. Huntley, Real Property Agent of the County Real Property Division, regarding the relocation of the Guthrie Memorial presently located on Fairway Drive, across from the Holiday Inn, originally constructed as part of the Guthrie Regional Park, which project has now been abandoned. Mr. Calabrese advised the letter requests that the City review this proposal and advise the County of any considerations held by the City in this regard. Councilman Rehrer asked where they intended to move the memorial. Mr. Calabrese replied.i..t is proposed to move the memorial to the southwest corner of Fairway Drive and South E Stteet, and dispose of the remaining land as County surplus land. Councilman Rehrer asked what the County intends to do with this property? Mr. Calabrese answered he has no information in that regard at this point. JUN 5 1979
