No. 3915 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no <br />protests or objections had been received. <br />City Manager Calabrese stated the public hearing this evening is to consider any <br />protests or objections to the abandonment of a portion of Hilltop Drive, the <br />southerly side, east of Barton Road. Mr. Calabrese advised the Planning Commis- <br />sion reviewed this matter and recommended approval of the subject vacation. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak in favor of or in opposition to <br />this matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to terminate the <br />Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Resolu- <br />tion No. 3915. Vote was unanimous. <br />_RESOLUTION NO. 3915 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON. CALIFORNIA, <br />ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF HILLTOP DRIVE. <br />Street Vacations <br />Res. No. 3916 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no <br />protests or objections had been received. <br />Mr. Calabrese advised that at a previous meeting, the City Council approved a reso- <br />lution declaring its intention to abandon Lot "A" in Tract No. 7582, with the condi- <br />tion to reserve an easement over and across the wieth and length for utility purposes. <br />Mr. Calabrese stated if there are no protests to the subject vacation, Staff would <br />recommend approval of Resolution No. 3916, ordering the abandonment of Lot "A" in <br />Tract No. 7582. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak in favor of or in opposition to this <br />matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to terminate the <br />Public Hearing. Vote was unanimous. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3916 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON. CALIFORNIA, <br />ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF LOT "A" IN TRACT NO. 7582. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Real Estate <br />Mr. Calabrese referred to a letter dated May 29, 1979, from Mr. Gordon K. Huntley, <br />Real Property Agent of the County Real Property Division, regarding the relocation <br />of the Guthrie Memorial presently located on Fairway Drive, across from the Holiday <br />Inn, originally constructed as part of the Guthrie Regional Park, which project has <br />now been abandoned. <br />Mr. Calabrese advised the letter requests that the City review this proposal and <br />advise the County of any considerations held by the City in this regard. <br />Councilman Rehrer asked where they intended to move the memorial. <br />Mr. Calabrese replied.i..t is proposed to move the memorial to the southwest corner <br />of Fairway Drive and South E Stteet, and dispose of the remaining land as County <br />surplus land. <br />Councilman Rehrer asked what the County intends to do with this property? <br />Mr. Calabrese answered he has no information in that regard at this point. <br />JUN 5 1979 <br />
