City Attorney Edwards concurred this could be done in that manner. 323 <br />Councilman Hayes said he wanted to make sure that the nine percent salary increase <br />was retained and made a part of the salaries for the two elected officials. <br />City Attorney Edwards answered yes, this would be included. <br />Governmental Agencies <br />Mr. Oliver P. Roemer, Director of the West San Bernardino County Water District, <br />requested the City Council select two of its Members to serve on the Lytle Creek <br />Water Conservation Association and the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water <br />District's Service Area #8 Committee to study supplemental water supply from the <br />Feather River. <br />Mr. Roemer advised that the City of Colton is now in Service Area #8, and the <br />cities of Rialto and Fontana will also be asked to appoint members to the two <br />committees previously mentioned. <br />Councilman Rehrer was concerned about the cost to the Colton taxpayers by getting <br />involved in this matter. <br />Discussion followed between Councilman Rehrer and Mr. Roemer with regard to the <br />(:) Water District, Service Area #8, and the study for supplemental water from the <br />Feather River. <br />Mayor Gonzales stated to Mr. Roemer that the City Council will take his request <br />under advisement and get in touch with him at a later date. <br />Boards and Commissions <br />Civil Service Board <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, ratifying appointment <br />of Eugene McMeans to the Civil Service Board. Vote was unanimous. <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND R HOMMFUU MND - <br />Assessments <br />Cooley Ranch Sewer Assessment District <br />Acting City Manager Elliott stated that Resolution No. 3938 concerns amending cer- <br />tain assessments within the Cooley Ranch Sewer Assessment District, and setting the <br />date of Tuesday, November 6, 1979, for public hearing on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Resolution No. <br />3938.
