308 Invocation was offered by the Reverend Dr. Richard Crane of the Colton First <br />Baptist Church. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Temby, and Mayor Gonzales. Also <br />present were Acting City Manager Phil Elliott, City Attorney Edwards, and City <br />Clerk Ramos. Absent was Councilman Rehrer. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />August 21, 1979 <br />Warrants <br />302345 30477 through 30695 <br />10326 through 10487, 19103 <br />August 30, 1979 Inclusive <br />Chamber of Commerce <br />Request permission to post flyers advertising "Colton Western Days". <br />Bids <br />Request permission to advertise for two 1980 4 -door sedans, Fire Department. <br />Bids <br />Award of Bid for Wire and Transformers, Westinghouse Electric Supply Company, <br />$42,234.83 (Items 1 through 5); RTE Corporation, $21,412. (Item 6). <br />_Fleming Park <br />Request use of Park, Colton Woman's Club, Sunday, May 4, 1980, 2:30 p. m. <br />Claims <br />Anna Spinks versus City of Colton. Recommend denial. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the Con- <br />sent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation honoring "Mexican Fiesta Days" from <br />September 14 through 16, which was presented to Mr. Louis J. Ordaz, representing <br />the Asociacion Mexicana Trabajadores Unidos. <br />Permits <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, approving Parade <br />Permit requested by the Asociacion Mexicana Trabajadores Unidos on Sunday, Sep- <br />tember 16, 1979, at 1:00 p. m. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Personnel <br />Senior Electrical Engineering Aide <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Acting Personnel Officer Elliott submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Mr. Elliott stated the Council Members have copies of the revised job description <br />for the Senior Electrical Engineering Aide, which was amended in the areas of <br />duties, definition and qualifications. The salary range will remain the same, <br />as approved by the City Council on June 12, 1979. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone had questions or desired to be heard on this <br />matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Temby, to terminate the <br />Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Resolu- <br />tion No. 3931. Vote was unanimous. <br />SEP 4 1979 <br />
