354 <br />Governmental Agencies <br />S CAG <br />City Manager Gonzales reported tht Southern California Association <br />of Governments has requested that the City adopt a resolution <br />utilizing SCAG-78 growth forecast on air management, wastewater <br />treatment, housing and transportation plans. Mr . Gonzales said <br />adoption of the forecast would provide newer information, more <br />"local" control and that amendments and revisions can be made <br />more easily to S CAG' s forecasts than the State's. <br />Mr. Gonzales recommended adoption of Resolution No. 3968. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to <br />approve Resolution No. 3968. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3968 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON RELATING TO THE SCAG-78 GROWTH FORE- <br />CAST POLICY. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />SOCIAL SERVICE ENDORSEMENT <br />Porta -Printer <br />City Manager Gonzales referred to a staff report prepared by Chief <br />of Police Elliott with regard to the feasibility of installing a <br />Porta -Printer for the deaf. In his report, Chief Elliott recommended <br />that the City not purchase the printer for the Colton Police Depart- <br />ment as this type of service was available through the County of <br />San Bernardino Communications Division. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Temby to accept <br />the recommendation of the Chief of Police not to purchase the <br />Porta -Printer. Unanimous vote. <br />AGREEMENT <br />Redevelopment Agency <br />City Manager Gonzales presented an agreement between the City and <br />the Redevelopment Agency relating to Assessment District No. 78-2, <br />together with a copy of a letter from F. MacKenzie Brown dated <br />October 8, 1979. <br />Mr. Gonzales said this agreement relates to the use of tax increment <br />redevelopment funds and staff would recommend approval and authority <br />to execute agreement. Mr. Gonzales said, additionally, second <br />reading of Ordinance No. 1575 in connect therewith would. be in order. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Temby, to <br />adopt Ordinance No. 1575 and waive further rea$ing of same. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1575 - ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, <br />PROVIDING FOR CONTRIBUTION FUNDS TO APPLY AS <br />CREDITS UPON LEVIED ASSESSMENTS IN CERTAIN <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS. <br />Moved by Councilman Temby, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve <br />the Agreement between the City and the Redevopment Agency relating <br />to the use of tax increment redevelopment funds in connection with <br />Assessment District No. 78-2.
