PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Appeals <br />Harbor Southwest Development <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />City Manager Elliott advised that the applicants, Harbor Southwest <br />Development, are asking for a continuation of this matter. <br />Mr. Jim Favia, representing Harbor Southwest Development, stated the <br />company was requesting a continuation on this matter until they can <br />complete the necessary data for their studies. <br />After discussion, moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Garcia, the Public Hearing on Appeal filed by Harbor Southwest Devel- <br />opment was continued to Tuesday, August 20, 1985, at 7:30 p. m. Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />Weed Abatement <br />Res. No. 4624 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />City Manager Elliott advised that the contractor, Ed Martin's Disc- <br />ing, has satisfactorily completed the 1985 Weed Abatement Project, <br />with a total number of 1,223 parcels abated, at a cost of $18,394.95. <br />Mr. Elliott stated after the Public Hearing, if Council concurs, Staff <br />would recommend adoption of Resolution No. 4624. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Upon no one stepping forward, on motion of Councilwoman Cisneros, <br />seconded by Councilman Rios, the Public Hearing was terminated. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to ap- <br />prove Resolution No. 4624. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4624 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE STREET <br />SUPERINTENDENT ON COST OF ABATING NUISANCE. <br />Landscaping & Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 <br />Res. Nos. 4625 & 4626 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Mayor Huntoon then called upon City Manager Elliott to report on the <br />Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance District No. 1. <br />City Manager Elliott advised that the City Engineer, Glenn Wilson, will['11.1_1 <br />make the presentation on the Engineer's Report and Summary of Improve- <br />ments. <br />Mr. Wilson referred to the Engineer's Report, prepared by Neste, Brudin <br />and Stone, Inc., and introduced Mr. John Feenstra, the Engineer of Work <br />Mr. Wilson then outlined the boundaries of the District, reviewed the <br />plans and specifications, cost estimate, assessment roll, and assess- <br />ment diagram for the Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance District <br />No. I. <br />JUL 2#085 <br />
