RESOLUTION NO. 4608 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AMENDING RULE IX, SECTION 4A, OF RESOLU- <br />TION NO. 2240, PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />FOR THE CITY OF COLTON. <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Water Division <br />Transfer of Funds <br />Acting Director of Community Services John Hutton reported on a request <br />for transfer of funds in the Water Division's Miscellaneous Account to <br />purchase water meters for new developments and replacement of non -funs <br />tioning meters. Mr. Hutton advised the account is $30,000 short, and { <br />the Water Division will not be able to fill requests for water meters <br />already paid for, due to high demand. <br />Mr. Hutton outlined two recommendations for Council's consideration re- <br />garding the transfer of funds into the Water Division's account for the <br />purchase of the necessary water meters. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrgr., approving and <br />allowing the Water Division to transfer funds whenever necessary for <br />the purchase of additional water meters, upon the approval of the De- <br />partment Head and the City Manager, utilizing the transfer forms pre- <br />viously approved by Council. Unanimous vote. <br />Special Assessments <br />Res. No. 4610 <br />Mr. Hutton stated he had a last minute item which necessitated Council <br />approval, regarding Lighting and Landscaping Maintenance District #1 <br />and Annexation #1, and setting this matter for Public Hearing on July <br />29 1985. Mr. Hutton then read in full Resolution No. 4610. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />Resolution No. 4610. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4610 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO SET A PUBLIC <br />HEARING FOR PROTESTS RELATED TO THE ANNUAL LEVY- <br />ING OF ASSESSMENTS FOR THE LIGHTING AND LAND- <br />SCAPING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT #1 AND ANNEXATION <br />#1. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Colton Joint Unified School District <br />Res. No. 4609 <br />Mr. Robert Rich, Director, Administrative Services for Colton Joint <br />Unified School District, 1212 Valencia Drive, spoke to the City Council <br />regarding the School Impaction Report for the Colton School District, <br />advising the School Board had considered other alternatives, such as <br />double sessions, however, decided this was the most feasible way to go. <br />Mr. Rich stated they were hopeful that the City Council would approve <br />the impaction report and notify builders that impaction fees have been <br />requested by the Colton Joint Unified School District which would apply <br />to all building permits issued. <br />City Manager Elliott said Staff recommends the impaction procedures <br />used with the Rialto School District be implemented for the Colton <br />School District, as requested by Mr. Rich. Mr. Elliott advised a <br />resolution has been prepared which will initiate the process. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to ap- <br />prove Resolution No. 4609.
