1 10Mayor Huntoon stated he was very concerned about the impact on our <br />City's services, especially the added burden to our sewer service, be- <br />cause with the Grand Terrace interceptor, our sewer system is reach- <br />ing capacity, and how will the City handle all the new developments. <br />After discussion, moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Council- <br />man Rios, to approve Resolution No. 4665. Upon Roll Call, the Vote <br />was: <br />AYES: Three; Rios, Cisneros,, Garcia. <br />NOES: Two; Huntoon, Rehrer. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />4665 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON INDICATING ITS INTENT TO PROVIDE FOR <br />THE ISSUANCE OF OBLIGATIONS TO PROVIDE ASSIS- <br />TANCE IN FINANCING A MULTIFAMILY RENTAL HOUS- <br />ING PROJECT (FAIRWAY MEADOWS). <br />Agreements <br />Res. No. 4662 <br />City Manager Elliott reported on an agreement between the City and <br />the -County of ---San Bernard-kno-ado-p-ti-ng a; mut-ti-f,art-i1y- re-n-tA1- horsing <br />mor-ttgage-. pro -gram -.in° coopera•t-i-an -with :the -Counter -of- San BErn�rdino. <br />The• a-greement {would allow the deve-1Qper, Ashwo-rthrSnyder -Corporation, <br />to receive bond financing through San Bernardino County to construct <br />a 512 unit apartment complex to be located north of San Bernardino <br />Avenue and south of the current Presley tract. <br />Mr. Elliott concluded Staff has reviewed the agreement and would <br />recommend approval of the agreement and Resolution No. 4662. <br />Mr. Dean F. Ashworth, Director of Ashworth -Snyder Corporation, made <br />a presentation to the City Council with regard to their development, <br />Cedarwood Apartments, referring to drawings of the area and project, <br />and outlining the development impact study relating to services. Mr. <br />Ashworth stated their project is within the San Bernardino Metropoli- <br />tan Water District and Rialto School District, and the sanitation will <br />be handled by a new sewer assessment district. Mr. Ashworth advised <br />they have taken strict security measures, and they intend to create an <br />apartment complex that will become a life style in multi -housing liv- <br />ing. <br />Mayor Huntoon stated this development would be utilizing the City's <br />sewer service. <br />Mr. Ashworth answered yes, it would. <br />Mayor Huntoon reiterated his statement relating to the impaction on <br />our City-' s< newer- system. <br />After discussion, moved by Councilwoman {Cienero-s, seconded by Council- <br />man Rios, to approve the Agreement between the City of Colton and the <br />County of San Bernardino as outlined and Resolution No. 4662.
