R-143-86. <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full two Proclamations, declaring October as <br />NATIONAL CRIME PREVENTION MONTH, which was accepted by Police Chief <br />Connolly, and declaring the week of October 5 - 11 as MINORITY EN- <br />TERPRISE DEVELOPMENT WEEK, accepted by City Manager Benest. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Appeals <br />Jennie Louise Richter <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Deputy City Clerk Veralrud submitted the Affidavit of Publication and <br />reported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Community Development Director Aguilera reported from his memorandum <br />regarding denial of a variance application, requested by Jennie Louise <br />Richter who wishes to create two undersized lots, in order to sell a <br />second unit on her property, which does not comply with the development <br />standards established by the Zoning Ordinance. <br />Mr. Aguilera advised the Planning Commission denied the variance appli- <br />cation at a public hearing held August 26, 1986, as outlined in Plann- <br />ing Commission Resolution No. 2089.
