Wilcox, Lake Cadena Mobile Home Park, Space 258, 2851 South <br />La Cadena Drive, Colton. <br />Mr. Joseph Mospan, Reche Canyon Mobile Home Park, 2751 Reche Canyon Rd., <br />Space 79, Colton. <br />Mr. Bruce Krueper, Reche Canyon Mobile Home Park, 2751 Reche Canyon Rd., <br />Space 209A, Colton. <br />Mr. Charles Prawdzik, Attorney, Temple Lane, Palm Desert, California, <br />representing the Colton Alliance of Mobile Home Owners. <br />Mr. Prawdzik made a presentation on behalf of the mobile home owners <br />stating most of these people living in these parks are elderly and are <br />living on fixed incomes and cannot afford the "rent gouging" put upon <br />them by the wealthy park owners. Mr. Prawdzik stated he was very will- <br />ing to represent all of the mobile home owners and assist them in their <br />endeavors. <br />OJ Mayor Gonzales thanked everyone for their comments and their interest <br />in this matter. Mayor Gonzales then asked for Council action on this <br />item. <br />Co Moved by Councilman Lofy, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to pass <br />First Reading and waive full reading of Ordinance No. 0-19-89. Upon <br />Roll Call, the Vote was: Ayes: Three; Cisneros, Lofy, Gonzales. Noes: <br />Two; Rios, Rehrer. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-19-89 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO PROVIDE <br />(First Reading) FOR STABILIZATION OF RENTS FOR MOBILE HOME PARK <br />SPACES. <br />The City Council recessed at 8:55 p. m., and reconvened at 9:10 p. m. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 9:10 p. m., to discuss <br />Potential Litigation matters, pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54956.9(b)(1;), and reconvened at 9:20 p. m., all Members present. <br />PTTRT.Tr WRARTWI_q <br />Zone Change <br />Mayor Gonzales announced the Continuance of the Public Hearing. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting Continuance. <br />City Manager Keane stated the property owner of this parcel has requested <br />another continuance to September 5, 1989. <br />On Council consensus, the Zone Change, File Index No. A-3-89 and D-57- <br />899 was continued to Tuesday, September 5, 1989. <br />Appeal <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Community Development Director Jaime Aguilera reported on the Appeal <br />filed by Joseph E. Bonadiman & Associates, for File Index No. D-38-89, <br />on the Planning Commission denial of a minor variance for a reduction <br />in the front yard setback of two lots in Tract No. 12576. <br />Mr. Aguilera advised that the Planning Commission denied the request <br />to reduce the front yard setback from 25 feet to 22-1/2 feet on two of <br />the lots in this Tract, citing that this could be achieved by the use <br />of retaining walls in the rear yards to provide more usable area. <br />AUG 15 1989 <br />
