However, if <br />Council concurs with the applicant's request, a motion to approve the <br />Appeal and a Minor Variance for Lot Nos. 14 and 15 in Tract 12576 would <br />be in order. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Mr. Joseph E. Bonadiman, 250 South Lena Road, San Bernardino, stated <br />they are requesting the 22-1/2 foot frontyard setback on two lots only, <br />and would like to keep the backyard retaining wall at no higher than <br />10 feet, and allow for a reasonable -sized backyard by placing these two <br />homes slightly forward by 2-1/2 feet. Mr. Bonadiman said this would not <br />have an adverse effect on the rest of the development in this Tract. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to close <br />the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />Appeal and Minor Variance as requested for Tract 12576. Unanimous vote. <br />Moratorium <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />City Manager Leslie Keane advised that the initial action taken with <br />the Urgency Interim Ordinance, No. 0-14-89, placing temporary restric- <br />tions on development approvals and the issuance of building permits in <br />R-1/PC zones, will expire on September 1, 1989. However, Staff will be <br />preparing a report on this matter for the meeting of September 5, 1989, <br />therefore, this matter does not need to be considered at this time. <br />Street Vacations <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Public Works Director John Hutton reported that all notices were duly <br />posted for the vacation of a portion of Adams Street, west of Lincoln <br />Street. Mr. Hutton stated if no protest are heard at the conclusion <br />of the Public Hearing, Staff would recommend adoption of Resolution No. <br />R-110-89, ordering the vacation as outlined. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to close <br />the Public Hearing. R-110-89 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF A <br />PORTION OF ADAMS STREET WEST OF LINCOLN STREET <br />Fleming Park <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Community Development Director Jaime Aguilera submitted the Affidavit <br />of Publication and reported that no protests or objections were received. <br />Mr. Aguilera reported that the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commis- <br />sion requested the placement of Fleming Park, dedicated in 1926, to the <br />Local Register of Historic Resources. <br />Mr. Aguilera continued the Planning Commission, at a public hearing held <br />AUG 15 1989 <br />
