STAFF REPORTS: <br />PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />With approval of the City Council, Item 22 is moved to be discussed under City <br />Manager items, renumbered as 26b. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Uniform Fire Code 1991 Edition <br />Fire Chief Hall reported that every 3 years the uniform model codes are updated <br />and published by the International Conference of Building Officials in conjunction <br />with the Western Fire Chief's Association. The City of Colton has traditionally <br />adopted these codes by ordinance with amendments based on local conditions. <br />Staff recommeded that Council Waive Full Reading and Pass First Reading of the <br />proposed Ordinance. <br />Moved by Councilman Roman, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to Waive Full <br />Reading and Pass First Reading of ORDINANCE NO. 0-15-92. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-15-92 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />(First Reading) ADOPTING THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1991 <br />EDITION, PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS <br />GOVERNING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE <br />AND PROPERTY FROM FIRE AND EXPLOSION. <br />CITY CLERK'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Recall Petition <br />City Clerk Ramos related that pursuant to the provisions of Elections Code Section <br />3708 a random sampling of 500 signatures was completed on May 1, 1992 by the <br />the Registrar of Voters. The Secretary of State's Formula was applied and the <br />precentage of valid signatures was 187.6%, which was more than the 111 % <br />needed to declare the petition sufficient. The cost of the election is estimated at <br />$15,000. Staff recommended acceptance of the Registrar of Voters Certificate to <br />Petition; adoption of RESOLUTION NO. R-60-92, calling and noticing of special <br />election and RESOLUTION NO. R-61-92, requesting the County to provide <br />services. <br />5 <br />M AY 19 1992 <br />
