Control Officer of the County of San Bernardino, save and excepting <br />that which may be necessary in the operation of barbecue grills. <br />SECTION 6. Containers <br />A. The Director of Community Services shall prescribe suitable kinds of <br />containers in which garbage and rubbish shall be placed and kept <br />for collection. <br />B. No container shall have irregular surfaces or be in a condition <br />which is likely to cause injury to persons moving or lifting them. <br />C. The maximum size of a residential container shall be thirty-two (32) <br />gallons. <br />D. Each container shall be constructed of substantial material of <br />sufficientstrength to resist breakage under ordinary conditions <br />of use, provide ease in handling, prevent insects and flies from <br />coming in contact with garbage, and shall be water tight. <br />E. Each residential container shall not exceed fifty (50) pounds in <br />weight, including the contents thereof. <br />F. If this section is not fully complied with, the collector shall <br />place a red tag on the container, and it shall be condemned as <br />unfit for service. <br />SECTION 7. Location of Containers <br />A. Excepting as stated herein, such residential containers shall not <br />be placed within the limits of any street or alley, unless authorized <br />by the Director of Community Services; nor shall they be placed <br />anywhere so as to constitute a nuisance. <br />B. Not earlier than 6:00 p.m. of the day before each day set for <br />collection, residential containers to be collected shall be placed <br />on the curb in front of the premises. <br />C. All residential containers so placed for collection shall be removed <br />from the curb within twelve (12) hours after the contents thereof <br />have been collected. <br />D. Containers utilized for business, industry or commercial establish- <br />ments shall be located in proper areas designated by the Director <br />of Community Services. <br />E. No person other than the owner thereof or any officer, employee or <br />permit holder of the City, shall move, remove or interfere with any <br />container, or the contents thereof. <br />-3- <br />
