and repairing damage to main or trunkline utility facilities located on the jobsite, not due <br />to the failure of the Contractors to exercise reasonable care; for costs of removing or <br />relocating such utility facilities not indicated in the contract documents with reasonable <br />accuracy; and for the operation cost for equipment on the project necessarily idled such <br />work. <br />D. At least two working days prior to commencing any excavation pursuant to this <br />Contract, the Contractors shall contact Underground Service Alert at (800) 227-2600 or <br />other appropriate regional notification center if the excavation will be conducted in an <br />area which is known, or reasonably should be known, to contain subsurface installations. <br />LITTER <br />A. All areas in the work sites shall be kept free of, but not limited to, the following items: <br />bottles, glass, cans, paper, cardboard, metallic items, animal excrement, and other <br />discarded items and debris. <br />B. Contractors shall promptly remove from the work area, all debris generated by their <br />performance. <br />USE OF CHEMICALS <br />A. Contractors shall submit a list of all chemical herbicides, pesticides, and rodenticides <br />proposed for use under this contract for approval by the Director. Materials included <br />on this list shall be limited to chemicals approved by the State of California <br />Department of Food and Agriculture, and shall include the exact brand name and <br />generic formulation. The use of any chemical on the list shall be based on the <br />recommendations of a licensed pest control advisor where required by law. Obtaining <br />pest control recommendations shall be the responsibility of the contractor. <br />B. The use of chemicals shall conform to the current County of Riverside Agriculture <br />commissioner regulations. No chemical herbicide, rodenticide, or pesticide shall be <br />applied until its use is approved, in writing, by the Director as appropriate for the <br />purpose and area proposed. <br />GENERAL CLEAN-UP <br />A. Trash Removal. Remove all trash and accumulated debris from the work sites <br />(this includes all discarded items and debris) daily resulting from tree trimming <br />and notifying City if debris. <br />B. Walkway Maintenance. Walkways shall be cleaned immediately following <br />trimming.
