Suchil <br /> <br />Council Members Absent <br />None <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />OCTOBER 5, 2017. <br /> <br />GIFT DISCLOSURES <br />Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict <br />of interest, pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br /> <br />AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS <br />Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings <br />attended at the expense of the City. (GC Section 53232.3(d). None disclosed. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following community members addressed the Council: Tina Shambaugh; Nicole Felix; and <br />Gilbert Arrieta. <br /> <br />BUSINESS ITEMS <br /> <br />1. Workshop on Solid Waste Rate Increase. <br /> <br />Mayor DeLaRosa announced the Workshop on Solid Waste Rate Increase and Public Hearing on <br />the Solid Waste Collection Service Rate Increases, by consensus of Councilmembers present, to <br />continue until October 19, 2017. <br /> <br />Mayor DeLaRosa outlined the reasons for continuing discussion on the solid waste rate increase; <br />in order to allow the City’s legal counsel as directed by Council to discuss and clarify wording of <br />certain points of the Agreement; in coordination with CR&R legal counsel; this will allow <br />Council to take a through look at the proposed rate increase and make a responsible action. <br />
